Power Up And Game is a weekly video game news podcast covering some of the most trending stories in the gaming industry. With Nerds Talk Movies, another weekly podcast, our “experts” review a new movie or TV series every week via our Retrospectives and Spoiler Talks. We also have semi-regular content such as Longbox Hunters, where two longtime friends and lifelong nerds talk about all things comics. Each episode (or issue) will cover what they’ve been reading recently before moving on to whatever that edition’s topic may be, with plenty of room for discussion, discourse, and even the occasional special guest to keep things fresh. From story arc analysis to character history deep dives and debates over widely contested comic book plot points and hot topics, Tristan and Drew cover everything in between all while bringing their trademark wit and enthusiasm that listeners of Nerds Talk Movies know and love. Finally, there is Clash At The Stash. This is a competition series featuring those of us at TNS Network and other fantastic content creators where we all debate over various nerd culture topics. Some episodes contain very straightforward topics and others may require contestants to be a bit more creative.

Hello and welcome to the Longbox Hunters, a podcast hosted by two longtime friends who adore comics and talking into microphones.
Each issue (episode) will cover what our crew has been reading recently before moving on to whatever that edition’s topic may be, with plenty of room for discussion, discourse, and even the occasional special guest to keep things fresh.
From story arc analysis to character history deep dives and debates over widely contested comic book plot points and hot topics, the Longbox Hunters team covers everything in between all while bringing their trademark wit and enthusiasm that listeners of Nerds Talk Movies know and love!
On today's issue, Tristan and Drew are talking about DC: The New Frontier. Here's a synopsis for that run, courtesy of Wikipedia:
"DC: The New Frontier is an Eisner, Harvey, and Shuster Award-winning six-issue comic book limited series written and drawn by Darwyn Cooke, and published by DC Comics in 2004. The series was collected into two trade paperback volumes in 2004 and 2005, an Absolute Edition in 2006 and a deluxe edition in 2015. The story was adapted into an animated film, Justice League: The New Frontier, which was released on February 26, 2008.
The series was influenced by both DC Comics' long history and series like Kingdom Come, The Golden Age, Watchmen and The Dark Knight Returns. Much like The Golden Age, New Frontier is set primarily in the 1950s and depicts Golden Age superheroes Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman meeting Silver Age characters The Flash, Green Lantern and Martian Manhunter. The story bridges the gap between the end of the Golden Age and the beginning of the Silver Age in the DC Universe."
